Before you send your bug report…

We read all bug reports and try our best to reproduce them, so every detail counts! Please include as much information as possible.

To see if your bug is related to a third-party plugin, you can temporarily disable all plugins in the Mac app by launching in Safe Mode.

If you can, sending us screenshots or screen recordings of the issue you’re experience is a big help.

If the Mac app is crashing or very slow to respond, sending us a Crash Log or Spindump along with your report gives us lots of valuable information to help fix your issue.

And don’t worry, all information you share with us is 100% confidential and we destroy any files you share after use.

Anything in beta is a work in progress. While beta features should work fine in most cases, we still need to fix a few issues and resolve any bugs we find along the way. That’s why we need your help.

Details matter

When you submit a bug, try to include as many details as possible. Screenshots are great. Screen recordings are even better!

If the Mac app is crashing or slow, send us a Crash Log or Spindump which — along with your bug report — gives us lots of useful information.

All your details are completely confidential, and we destroy any shared files after they’re analyzed.

For Mac-only licenses: If you have a Mac-only license, use the License Admin tool to manage it. If you’re looking for your license key, search for “SK3” on any purchase or renewal emails we’ve sent you.

How to switch to a subscription

We’ve made it quick and easy to switch to a subscription. Here’s how it works:

Create a Workspace. Sign up for a free 30-day trial (no credit card required) and get everything set up at your own pace.
Sign in. With your new Sketch account you can sign into the Mac app, create documents and collaborate.

Because each Editor can use multiple devices, yearly billing is cheaper than monthly, and Viewer accounts are free. If you’re currently on a Mac-only license, you can learn more about switching in our documentation

Not sure whether you already have a subscription (Workspace)? Open the Mac app and choose Sketch > Preferences from the menu bar, then select the account tab. If you have a subscription, you’ll see details of your Workspace listed here.
